Easter Morning

So after being up all day and staying up to do all the Easter Bunny duties.. it was midnight to bed and then at 6 AM Niko was on top of me throwing my blankets off and saying "GET UP! THE EASTER BUNNY CAME! GET OUT OF BED!"... Damn the Easter bunny.

Family Easter BBQ & Egg Hunt

This was all orignally planned to be at a park, but since the time to start building an ark... We had to have in indoors... freakin springtime in Utah!

Easter Egg Creations

Okay... So I'm a crappy parent who didn't take any pictures of the ACTUAL egg coloring, just the finished product!

 I let the kids pick what kind of egg dye kit they wanted, Niko found one that made the eggs little monsters with the shaggy orange hair that was glued on... They look great.

 Sam's of course were all pearly and colorful.... Shiny... LOL

Samantha's Birthday Party - 9 Years Old!

This year was our turn to have Sam's 'friend' party. Which means I'm in a room with ten or more 9 year old girls - sounds like a version of hell really, but why not?  So we looked all over for a place that she would like, after all she is waaaay too cool for most things now so in my research I found this music and dance studio that threw Rockstar Dance Parties! Perfect! Parts of it were a little cheesy, I think the woman doing it is used to a younger audience but the girls loved running around and posing like models and just being able to be goofy! Here is the proof...

 We got her a bike, and the only way to keep it secret was to print a picture of it and put it in a box with her helmet, so was super excited!!

 Mmmm... Yummy....

Samantha's Birthday Baking

So we woke up early to make her birthday cupcakes, she wanted something 'funky' so we decided to make tye-dye cupcakes from the neon food coloring that I have. :) We also added Fun-Dip into the batter - Sam loved them and her friends said they were great so.. Looks like a winner!
