Daddy Daughter Dance

This night didn't turn out quite as planned. Sam was so excited and we shopped for a dress and shoes and she was all gung ho.. So we are curling her hair and talking and she suddenly closed the door and started crying! I had no idea what was goin on! She told me that she was really nervous, and that she was scared to go and didn't know what to expect! Suddenly I'm feeling really guilty for making a big deal about the night (how could I not? It was soooo adorable!) So then I had to downplay it all and make it seem no big deal. But then she was scared to tell Craig because she didn't want to hurt his feelings... What a mess. so after a small breakdown she cried a bit and then regained her composure so she could come out of the bathroom. She was still SUPER nervous, but once she got there and saw her friends she was soon dancing the night away with her daddy and having a WONDERFUL night. :)

Sadly because of the drama of the night. I forgot to give Craig the camera and these are the only pics I have. Her scared face and red eyes.. Instead of her laughing and having fun.... grrrrrr... hahaha

January Snow Day!!

Niko got a metal detector for Christmas, and he couldn't wait to go try it out! I told him it would be tough in the snow, but he couldn't wait. As suspected it didn't last long, and turned into a snowball fight before we knew it.

Yep, that evil grin was directed at me. He pelted me with snow for laughing at him.. hahaha

New Years Eve - Welcome 2011

So.. As we are getting ready to go to Ashley's for New Years.. Sam starts crying ands saying she was going to throw up. So she liad on the couch for a bit.. (I took this pic and she got mad, quickly hiding the barf bowl and putting on her super star smile..hehe)

 

 She posed long enough to get a couple pics for me, and then spent the rest of the night on the couch... she was sad she couldn't go but.. what do you do?

Once Niko and I got to Ashley's.. It was all about the korean food.. Yum Yum!

The boys had a GREAT time! They were dancing the night away... just waiting for the clock to strike midnight...

  

Recap continued - Christmas Morning

Christmas morning! this picture doesn't even seem to compare to the stacks of loot in my living room, it was insane!! it is always nice to see the kids happy and excited..

December Recap... Wow.. I'm bad at this blogger thing.. :)

So, I think I'll just post in order of what happened this month. Here it goes.

This is our Christmas Tree this year, Niko thought it would be 'awesome' to put some lights on the tree in the living room! lol. I loved it, then we didn't have to haul a big tree up and down the stairs.




                                               
 

Niko had his 1st grade Christmas performance. It was so cute, he sang songs and the kids told jokes. It was very cute and Niko did a great job!

Next comes the yearly trip to Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo. We all bundle up and head out to see all the lights and get a glimpe of the animals that are usually sleeping during the day. We always have a great time here!
