School ‘Spring’ Pictures

The question I have is this…

What happened to the good old school pictures that were taken after you played all day and your hair was a mess and you had dirt on your face and then they took your picture and they double exposed it so there was a floating spirit head looking down at you? (any of you that had school pictures taken in the 80’s know what I’m talkin about!) LOL.. ahh.. those were the good old days. Instead they have super cute pictures that you can’t be nearly as embarrassed about in the future when they are pulled out and reminisced over. .. Such a shame.

AND...Why can’t Nicholas smile like this in MY pictures?? Instead I have to pay too much to buy these just to show he truly IS capable of a real smile and not the fake ‘I have gas’ smile. That kid.. I swear!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE LADY!!

I can't believe this little lady is 8 today!! She makes me smile, makes me crazy, makes me wonder, makes me laugh, and makes me cry, but above all she makes me so grateful each and every day that she is a part of my life, and that she allows me to be a part of hers. I love you so so much Samantha.. XOXO

Yes.. I even love her attitude... LOL!

Oh man! Who doesn't love school performances?? The kids have been practicing songs for months for this thing, and we all packed the house to finally see the actual performance, as always it was crowded.. loud.. unorganized.. and totally adorable. :) Look at these super cuties. Can you guess which one will be in Drama Club when in High School? Hehehehe

As if Little Miss Barlow needed more of a reason to stare at herself in a mirror (most of you have witnessed it first hand) Samantha decided she needed a haircut. She looked through pictures and decided that she wanted a 'bob', so she picked the cut. Told the guy how short she wanted it.. and here it is.. Is it just me or does she look a LOT older? Yikes...

Christmastime With The Barlow's.....

YES!! It's finally over... My house is now lacking the shiny cluttered mess of Christmas.. and I can start to pay off the cost of yet another joyful holiday.. LOL.. wait.. Is that Grinch talk? ;) As much as I despise the Holidays.. I have to admit that watching the kids on Christmas morning is pretty fun, they are so excited through their sleepy haze. Niko was really funny this year, he was totally into the magic of Santa thing. I had to play along a lot harder than in years past, he was dancing around the living room yelling "This is the best Christmas ever!!".. Those of you that know Nicholas know that reaching that level of thrill is no easy feat. He's hard to please.. needless to say I was relieved and proud of his comments. I even had to take a picture of the singing and dancing.. its so rare...

The morning went well. The kids had a good time, Samantha for her Fur Real kitty and the guitar that she has been asking for since last year, CD's and clothes, the typical girl stuff. :) Nicholas got a monster truck video game to play with dad, trucks, transformers and an interactive robot - it has a remote control, talks to him, guards his stuff. .. it's pretty cool! Here are some pics!

The kids got us coffee mugs with their pictures on them... So cute.. lol!

Wow.. am I this far behind?

It's been quite awhile since I posted anything. Honestly its a wonder I have time to breathe or catch up on everyone else's blogs! Christmas.. you all know its not my favorite time of the year. Some ount the days until it happens.. I count the days until its over... Its so close I can taste it. Oh wait, maybe thats the eggnog? Anyway.. Here is a lovely scatter of pictures from the events of the past month so you know we are still alive and kicking. :)
