So the kids got signed up for this three day camp up at Snowbird, there was an actual bluegrass band that goes there and works with the kids, teaching them songs and how to play the different instruments. So on day three there was a recital that we were invited to, to see all they had learned. It was actually really adorable to see them working so hard and practicing songs. The performance was really cute!!
Samantha sang 'You are My Sunshine', and sure enough.. I was crying (even Craig got a little misty)... it was priceless.

Grown-Up Getaway!!!
Leaving the kids behind Craig and I took off for a long weekend with my sister Ashley and her husband David. We drove through Evanston and up to Bear River Lodge. It was great, the cabin was perfect and the fresh air was just what we needed, if only for a couple days. We rode four-wheelers all day on Saturday, and I had no idea how hard that way! Great way to workout the arms and have fun at the same time! Saturday was beautiful weather, and then Sunday on the drive home it snowed in the mountains! Welcome to June in Utah folks!!

A Day at the Aquarium
So I picked the kids up early one Friday afternoon and took them to the aquarium. Niko had been talking about it and when I told him that there was a new exhibit with piranhas in it he was even more excited!! J They had a great time doing the scavenger hunt through the entire Aquarium, and learning about all the different things that live under water. I tried to get Sam to touch a stingray but her hand went about two inches into the water (the stingrays were about a foot and a half down there) and she got freaked out and wouldn’t do it. The best was when we got to the electric eels, there is a machine that shocks you when you touch it, and I didn’t tell them what it did, just told them to touch it. Priceless child torture! Niko thought it was funny and kept shocking himself, Samantha wasn’t so amused.. imagine that! ;)

The Tulip Festival - Thanksgiving Point
So I decided that fresh air and beautiful flowers were in order before the upcoming four, five.. six?! Days of rain.. The kids liked being outside, rolling down the hills and smelling the flowers. It was cute to see them playing together, being kind to one another...they even exchanged a few hugs and kisses!!
Good thing I got pictures so I can remind them later on that they really do love each other!! :)
